     Nowadays, mocking people’s body appearance or we can call it as Body Shaming it’s likely becoming worse because of the advanced of the technology now days body shaming can be happened anywhere and in any culture. Body shaming is a popular term for a type of negative social interaction it frequently used in social media. Based on dictionary the meaning of body shaming is, criticism of someone based on the shape, size, or appearance of their body: (Cambridge Dictionary, 2019). Everyone will have an experienced of judging people and being judged about someone’s appearance the different is either it’s negative or positive, it’s a common phenomenon as a human being. This body shaming has been the serious topics, internet search engine Google shows that the word “Body Shaming” has increasing in the past three years (Google Trends, 2022). Body shaming can be a tool for trolling, this will lead to cyberbullying with repetition over time. If someone continued to experienced body shaming it will give negative impact to the person especially about mental health, for example, bad feelings, impairments in self-esteem as well as social exclusion and stigmatization this will make the potential to have a mental problem become higher such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, self-harm, suicide, emotional distress, and low self-esteem. Everyone can be a victims of body shaming, body shaming often refers to someone’s body such as weight, attractiveness, age, clothing, body hair, and makeup.
