Conclusion

CONCLUSION          Reviewing our study on body shaming reveals that it persists and really rises dramatically every year. This issue is serious and needs to be highlighted because, without adequate care, many teenagers worldwide will suffer from disorders, whether they are mental or physical. This is also one of the reasons why our nation struggles to produce teenagers who are capable of serving as its leaders. Teenagers are the age group that experiences body shaming the most frequently because of their lack of acceptance of difference, their inability to express their true feelings, and the influence of social media. Despite being aware of the body shaming aspects, additional research is required to prevent body shaming from becoming widespread. We don't have to wait for this issue to be handled; instead, we should work to resolve it by taking action, no matter how modest, as long as it benefits others, especially those nearby

Discussion

DISCUSSION For our CID project , we only spread the survey link to identify the problem of body shaming among teenagers, namely students at UMP. In addition, we also set a limit, that is, we give a choice whether they have been body shaming or not. Based on their choice, we only take results from those who have been victims of body shaming. It's because our topic is only focused on victims. We also have a very short time to advertise this survey which is only 2 weeks and needs to gather more than 30 respondents minimum. Based on the results we obtained, our survey has been completed by 51 teenagers and has reached the required quota which is as many as 50 respondents. We don't interview victims because we don't want their emotions to be disrupted and impede their learning because they have to cope with the questions we ask. Furthermore, we cannot simply select someone to be interviewed about the title of our project without first learning about their background. It's beca...

Ways To Deal With Body Shaming

Ways To Deal With Body Shaming 1. Recognize the Importance of Body Positivity Firstly, those who are often subject to body shaming should always think positively and think about their body positivity. In other words, they need to accept their body as it is without comparing it to other people's bodies. For example, those who are rather plump and healthy don't need to feel insecure when they see someone with a thin body because they are not necessarily healthy, maybe they are thin because of an illness that we don't know about. In addition, they need to realize that always feeling good about their own body will guarantee mental health. It’s because they will be more grateful and calm without thinking about it all the time. Moreover, they should embrace their unique shape or skin tone also be appreciative of their health. They don't have to think too much about what people say to themselves and become very obsessed with changing the part of their body that they feel doe...
